Our Story
We’re Arjan and Hielke, the founders of Dutch Label Shop. Our journey began in college in the Netherlands, fueled by a shared entrepreneurial spirit. The spark that lit Dutch Label Shop came from a simple conversation with a dressmaker friend, who was struggling to find high-quality custom labels for clothing in small quantities.
As we looked into the industry, we discovered a clear gap: traditional label manufacturers were hard to reach, small orders were nearly impossible, and delivery times were excruciatingly long. There was little flexibility—especially for small brands, hobbyists, or makers in need of custom made labels for clothing or clothing care labels. We knew there had to be a better way.
So in August 2015, Dutch Label Shop was born—literally out of a Brooklyn closet. We started small, with Arjan managing early orders from New York, while Hielke soon left his job in Amsterdam to expand our reach into Europe.
Dutch Label Shop was founded with the goal of making custom clothing labels and patches accessible to everyone. Nearly a decade later, we’re proud to serve thousands of creators worldwide.
