  • Custom woven labels add a touch of your personality and your brand to every handmade gift you produce. Add your logo or signature to a custom label made to order. Operating on a smaller scale and don’t yet have a logo of your own? No problem! There are lots of ways to customize your label from a whole catalogue of text and graphic elements without having something predesigned. Remember, people who shop for handmade gifts share your love of unique and one-of-a-kind items. Let them know whose creativity and artistry went into their gift!
  • Care labels. Because that handmade clothing or home decoration item wasn’t made in bulk on a machine in a factory somewhere. Your time and care and effort went into that. Make sure that its next owner knows how to care for it properly. Customize a care label with instructions to give your handiwork a long and happy life. This is especially important if you sell your products through a third party entity (like Etsy), and probably won’t have the opportunity to converse with your customer about the item in person.
  • Hang Tags are a great and cost effective way to enhance the story of your handmade gift. Where did it come from? What is your artistic inspiration? All of this is something you can convey with a hang tag. This is also a great way to graphically represent your brand with a more detailed or text heavy tag that would not fit or reproduce as sharply on a woven label.
  • Size Labels are an excellent addition to a handmade gift, especially. While clothing sizes are fairly standard and you likely have your own system for keeping them consistent. There is understandably more possibility for variance among sizes.  If your customer is buying your product online and won’t have the benefit of physically looking at the object and comparing it to familiar sizes. They will be grateful for any context you can provide them.

You may not be ready for Christmas carols on repeat just yet. But it’s time to start planning for the biggest shopping season of the year. Making sure you have all the right materials to brand and label your product will maximize its impact and create loyal and delighted customers. Want to get your feet wet with a small quantity? No problem. A small batch is a great way to try it out (or create a special look just for the holidays!).
