We are the premier destination for sewists and makers working in the fabric arts. Whether you're finishing your new clothing line, or just posting your first item on Etsy, we can help you create the perfect finishing touch.

We Have Every Fabric Label Option You Need

Our woven fabric sewing labels are made of 100% polyester thread and woven on Jacquard looms to provide the highest level of detail and quality, perfect for adding a professional flair to your creations. Fabric sewing labels are affordable and offer vivid detail and color combinations.

Our Labels Work With Virtually Any Fabric

If you can sew it, you can label it. Our fabric name tags can be used with virtually any other fabric including:

  • Lightweight Fabrics
  • Mesh & Open Work Fabrics
  • Medium Weight Fabrics
  • Piled Fabrics
  • Heavy Weight Fabrics
  • Shiny Glossy Fabrics
  • Ribbed Fabrics

Need the custom fabric name tags, but want to skip the sewing needle?

Are you selling a specialty product that needs a fabric label but doesn't want to get out the sewing machine? You can order woven fabric labels with a heat-activated adhesive backing that can easily be ironed onto your item.

Getting Even More Professional with your Designs

Looking for something to give your designs that extra-professional touch? Along with our fabric name tags, we also offer care labels, size labels, iron-on labels, and made-in labels to add even more detail to what you're making. Give your customers that extra information they need to know what size that jacket is or how to wash that beautiful silk shirt without risking color bleeding or shrinking. Plus, with our made-in labels, you can let your customers know exactly where their new favorite dress was made. We're also your go to source for t-shirt labels, quilt labels, and laundry labels.

Design or Upload Your Own Fabric Label?

Do you already have that amazing brand design ready to go? Then get ready to upload your custom-made design. We recommend .jpg .png .psd @300dpi. If you haven't yet designed your logo, not to worry. We also offer an online design tool, loaded with tons of fonts, colors, and symbols to help you create the perfect signature design for your creations. Also, consider our name labels and clothing price tags.

Fabric Label FAQs

We get asked a lot of questions about our fabric name tags. Here are some of the most common:

Have the fabric name tags been checked for harmful substances?

Yes! We check with all our material suppliers to ensure no harmful substances are used in our products.

How do I order fabric name tags?

Fabric name tags are easy to order, and customizable based on your needs! We offer our fabric label designer tool for those who want to design their label while ordering. For those who already have a design ready for their label, we offer our fabric label uploader tool.

What can fabric name tags be applied to or used for?

Fabric name tags are a great addition to almost any product that allows for sewing or ironing. Some items we've seen fabric name tags applied to include: shirts, trousers, dresses, skirts, coats, bags, hats, pillows, quilts, face masks, stuffed animals, and so much more!

Besides being able to apply a fabric label to various items, there are also a number of ways to use a fabric label. You can use your fabric name tags to add a business logo, to personalize a gift, to provide care instructions, and to create a name label. These are just some of the most common ways we've seen fabric name tags used, but the possibilities are almost limitless.

How do I design a fabric label?

You can either design your fabric label through the Dutch Label Shop website using our fabric label designer tool to design your fabric label; our fabric label designer tool comes built-in with various fonts, colors, and icons to truly personalize your fabric label. You can also create a fabric label design using the design software of your choice, then upload your design using our fabric label uploader tool.

Which fabric label do I need?

The fabric label you need depends on your use case:

  • If you want to add a personalized logo or design to your fabric name tags, we recommend using our fabric woven labels, which have the highest quality and durability. If you have a design that uses gradients or more than twelve colors, we recommend our fabric printed labels.
  • If you want to make sure that garments are properly cared for and maintained, we recommend our fabric care labels.
  • If you need to show country of origin or just want to show off pride in where your items were created, we recommend our fabric made-in labels
  • If you need to label items for schools, hospitals, care facilities, or just your household, we recommend fabric name labels.

What kinds of folds are possible with fabric name tags?

Dutch Label Shop offers a variety of fold options for fabric name tags. You can order a flat label, which has no fold. You can also order labels with a horizontal centerfold or a vertical centerfold; a horizontal centerfold folds the label in half horizontally, and a vertical centerfold folds the label in half along the vertical. You can also add edge folds to any label with a centerfold.

How do I add my own logo to printed labels?

You can easily add your own logo to a printed label through our printed label uploader tool. You can upload your own designs through our easy-to-use uploader, and see your logo come to life on your very own fabric printed label.

Are fabric name tags and textile labels self-adhesive?

Our fabric name tags and textile labels are not self-adhesive. However, we do offer iron-on labels that can be added with no sewing. With just a little heat from your household dryer, you can easily attach a fabric label to your items without ever needing to sew. If you're unsure how to attach an iron-on fabric label, check out these step-by-step iron-on fabric label application instructions.
